Expertise · Authentication

The proof,
piece by piece.

Every item passes through the hands of our experts before we buy it. No photograph and no algorithm replaces the physical check. Here is how we establish authenticity, without a single grey area.

Macro detail of grained leather and a gilded buckle under raking light

The material never lies

Reading the material.

The grain of a hide, the regularity of a stitch, the weight of a metal, the depth of a hallmark: a counterfeit always betrays itself somewhere. Under loupe and raking light, our experts read the details a hurried eye never sees.

It is this trained eye, formed on tens of thousands of pieces, that grounds the trust we place in your item — and the price we offer for it.

The protocol

Four unvarying stages.

Four fixed steps, carried out in our workshops by experts dedicated to each category. Nothing is delegated, nothing is automated.

01

In-hand inspection

The item is examined physically, never from a photograph. Heft, balance and finish: the first reading begins before the loupe is even raised.

02

Reading the materials

Leathers, metals, stones and textiles are analysed under magnification. Grain, stitching, patina and solder tell the true origin of the piece.

03

Serials & hallmarks

Serial numbers, date codes and maker's marks are verified and cross-checked. For watches, we screen the international stolen-goods registries.

04

Certificate

Once authenticity is established, each piece receives its named certificate, archived and enforceable. It is our signature.

The decisive gesture

One piece, one expert, one decision.

At the moment of handover, the item changes hands only once: from yours to that of the expert who answers for it. No subcontracting, no anonymous chain.

This traceability of the gesture is what sets a trusted buyback apart from a mere transaction. You know who held your piece, and why we cleared it.
